My 1st 700c wheels were to replace the sew-ups on my Grand Record. The year was 1975 and Rigida 13-19 rims and Wolber W20s were my choice. I think I rode about 10 miles before my 1st blow out. As soon as the nylon Japs started coming in I stayed with them forever after. I do remember that in 73 and 74, DeLong and Graves were pushing 700c clinchers. I remember I was kinda shittish about buying new 700c rims and maybe the fad going sour the next year! Wow, 35 years ago, where did it all go?
