There was a bikeboom, Gazelle had capacity and was part of Tube investment, just as Raleigh was.

The Gazelle equivalent was called the Sprinter, a three tube Reynolds frame with pencil stays with a wrap around treatment. Especially in 65 cm it was a horrible flexible affair, a friend of mine had one and I could drop him on any downhill
