Linwood has posted the link to Ebay where he has posted his beautiful frame, a track frame made by Johns Cycles. There are people who think I dont have a serious side, so well put that to bed. I have a picture of this frame in front of me most of my waking life at present. As a memeber of the ancient cycling Brits, I was brought up with the likes of Hurlow, Hetchins, Hobbs, etc., and loved the work, though my real love is Italian, {Why didnt they make a frame called the Loren, surely it would have wowed the world!] Sorry. difficult to stay serious, however, I have never seen a frame which embodies such beauty, craftsmanship and aritstry as this. Id like to buy it , but its a track frame[any one want to sell a road frame 54]55c?] and wifey wont let me.. Says we can buy a new pram [baby carraige] for that! [ at 68, whats she trying to tell me?] I dont care when it was built, its timeless, and that stem! Corrrr! Never seen anything like it. Sheer beauty, all of it, Thats the bench mark for all decent frames , and they dont need to be made by annonymous Chineese. Im only sorry that it wasnt made here, there woukd be lots of them, and even if you had the worst handpainted example you could find, youd never need to have my unknown frame decalIts fabulous, but, thank God, a smidgeon too small.....I think Barrie Carter Drooling in Roundham, Uk
