David,
The stem is some of a bunch of items I'm selling for local friend with much more to come. A lot of listmember don't recognize my newer eBay name "creamcityonline". I had to stop using Hetchinspete and hetchinspete1 as my account has been broken into a few times last year.
As for the stem it looks like a copy of the Constrictor stem I sold last year for about $215 or so. Unfortunately I know little about the stem and it's history, as well as the year it was made. I'm suprised at the price it sold for @ $227.

Hello Kevin,
I am currently using this stem on my sons ALAN cyclo-x bike. Ahhhh... maybe I should take it off : ) Seriously though, the stem functions great with no horizontal or vertical slippage. It laterally adjusts from 7 to about a 12cm or so (wag). Interesting design feature is that the stem is slightly angled upward, thus promoting a nice, comfortable position. As I stated, its on my sons cyclo-x bike, I've been thrashing it on some of the local fireroads (L' Eroica training) and it has proven to be reliable- so far. Hope this helps.
