Those brakes look nice! I have super polished some vintage era brakes too, it's rewarding work.

This reminds me of a story from the early 1970s.

McLean Fonvielle, maker of Silk Hope and McLean frames, took a set of Weinmann 610 center pulls and filed off all the ridges and casting traces and polished it to a satin luster. He replaced the Weinmann pads & shoes with Campy holders, and mounted the set with Campy brake levers on his touring bike. Seemed a logical ultra nice set up for a touring rig...

Later a friend saw the set up when he visited the Clean Machine bike shop (one of the original Turin Co-op members) and Mclean jokingly asked him "Have you seen these already? ... the new Campy center pulls?" In a short time, everyone was talking about Campagnolo's new center pull!

McLean set folks straight when he had the chance but it was a good laugh for a while....

And here are my NOFACs thus far... http://www.flickr.com/photos/66275745@N00/sets/72157623947963344/

I took the roughest-cast, dirtiest one I could find and went to town with the file and emery. Rounded-out all the corners and edges and removed all flashing left behind by the fine craftspeople at Mafac...

Anyone have extra sets of the chrome "Deluxe" hardware? My pad-mounting-posts have rusted away to nothing, but curiously the pivot bolts remained near-spotless - how does that happen?
