I can't agree more with you about the members of this list. While I haven't been a subscriber for very long nor have I had the time to really keep up on it, I am really amazed about the attitude of the members as a whole and it is very refreshing.
That is terrible about your bike. I had mine stolen from me in downtown Portland at gunpoint. Really terrible experience. Maybe it's the vigilance of the cycling community here, but after only the third flyer I posted up I received a response. A bike employee who stashes his bike in the basement of a downtown hotel found mine stashed behind a shine box. He saw my flyer when he got to work and I was reunited with my bike. Really awesome feeling. I would have never found it otherwise. So keep hope, crazy things happen when you least expect them. I think your hanging flyers is a very effective plan. I really hope you find your bike.
