Thanks for your concern. The gouge happened bumping into something not from fatigue. I guess it could lead to a stress fracture though. Listing updated.
Vintage 1st generation Dura-Ace calipers w/Campy drop bolt on rear, no pads. Front is in excellent condition. Rear has a small gouge, no crack, from bumping into something in my basement. I've been told this could lead to a stress fracture. I've ridden these for a few years with no problems. I've inspected closely and there is no crack. If you are concerned take off the drop bolt and toss the arms. Price reduced...$40 shipped.

That gouge on the rear Dura Ace Brake you offered for sale to CR to me is a stress facture. Brake could fail anytime when being used. I had a similar facture on a Modolo brake. I threw that part on mine away
