Without the two piece metal cable adjusters you will never have true reproductions never mind the the metal tab. If you happen to have some old ones from ruined 1/2 hoods that's helpful but... I doubt Robbie is going to go to the expense of having the adjusters produced. There were two styles used. One for "Racers" and one for "Competitions" as seen in the attached link:

So, if you really need them, spend the price. They don't last forever and some colors are getting VERY difficult to find in NOS condition. You will likely have to compete with the Japanese buyers on some of the colors though.

As Kurt Sperry, I've been watching. I've also been buying and selling them for several years. Like some bikes, Mafac brake sets may just be considered as donors in order for someone to get just the right color hoods. Black is by far the easiest to find in NOS.
