Anybody else (edit) notice that the front wheel is using a 2x spoking pattern? It's probably fine for a one day race, and the mechanic can true it up after the race. Still wonder if under the circumstances, it might be a little close to the demands of the race. Any other opinions on the subject.

In either 1975 or '76 I built a training wheel up from an old 3pc Gran Sport front hub, Used Super Champion Competition rim, and used Robergel spokes with new nipples. The parts allowed me to make it 2X, which I did, rode it some time and later I tied and soldiered the crosses. In 1994 I retired the wheel after a speed wobble incident, as it was over 20 years, I accepted it was time, not being able to duplicate the problem with the same bike and another wheel.

So, my take is it's not a problem.
