Hello all,
I realized that I have not properly introduced myself. My name is Todd
Davis, from St Louis Missouri, originally from St Paul Minnesota I moved
south in 82 for work and have been here ever since.
I started racing bicycles in the early '70s and continued through
college into the mid 80's. The bike's currently in my possession are:
1976 Colnago super. Rebuilt by Cecil Behringer after a bad crash in
1981.Campy Record and super Record with the exception of Dura-Ace brakes
with Modolo levers and a Weyless seat post.
1984 (or 5) Behringer custom Tandem Wth a variety of parts. Sugino
crank set, Cinelli bars and stems, Campy hubs, Campy deraileurs, Modolo
pro brakeset, Campy pedals. Finished in Cecil's favorite color #224
yellow with Chiquita banana stickers.
My third bike is a late 1890's-early 1900's six day Madison racer.
Mostly unrestored but I believe that it's had a repaint at some point.
Complete with wood rims, incredibly vintage tires (one's red), block
chain, wide toe straps (no clips). The next project is to attemp to
identify and date it more accurately. Cecil came up with the rough era
of 1900ish.
I have a small stock of 70's vintage parts that I'm in the process of
sorting through to see what stay any what goes. When I have that list
finished I'll post the appropriate parts here.
Thanks
Todd Davis
