Subject: [CR] the Beauty of the Internet

When I was growing up in Cupertino, a Wednesday afternoon ride to Spence Wolf's house, to hang out and watch who showed up on what, was a weekly ritual. We didn't know how special it really was, but we knew that some of the bikes that came in were special. After the Hetchins and Cinellis came through, I waited for the glimpse of an Eisentraut.

Last week, I found through a random Google search a 1976 Eisentraut Limited in Denver on Craig's List. Lovely original paint, with full Campy NR gruppo. I emailed the guy, then we had a Skype conversation. I then called a friend I had in Denver, sent her the money via Paypal, and she went over and picked up the bike. It's now sitting in her garage on a bike rack waiting for me to pick it up on my next trip home from university in the UK to California this summer.

Thank the heavens for the internet!

Best
