Mark,
I have a Patent '73 Campagnolo SR rear derailleur. It is on my all original Raleigh Team Professional from 1973; serial number SB18. They are rare, I've only seen one other before and it was on another complete bike listed on eBay a number of years ago. I forget the make and model of bike but it was something obscure.

I own one but I've never seen another. They must be out there. I assume it was the very first production run. Or was it not even a "production" piece? Of course '75 & up is the norm. Though I haven't seen one marked 74.

Either way nice find. Congrats !! Others on the list may know more, but that's my hunch.
