Listers,

This month has been tiring with non-riding bike events! Here in New York every weekend has been chock-full of bike related activties due to Bike Month.

The whole month kicked off with the T-town swap, which was sparsely attended and rainy but which made for a buyers market.

Here's my haul: http://www.flickr.com/photos/81579116@N00/4598735828/sizes/l/

Mostly OT stuff, but as you can see, a NIP Campy inch pitch chainring as well as a Rally derailleur converted to short cage. Interesting stuff.

The following weekend was ta double whammy here in The City.

The weekend was kicked off right at the Johnny Coast/Seth Rosko open shop event covered here: http://prollyisnotprobably.com/2010/05/a_day_in_10_photos_05152010.php

CR list was well represented, but perhaps BEST represented by our own Jamie Swann: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4021/4613702493_b14e96395e_b.jpg

Brooklyn Bike Jumble, the next day, is an event I run - and which I get too busy to shop at. Despite that - and perhaps as a testament to the obsessive nature of collecting- I was able to buy some stuff, but my to my chagrin, I saw and heard of waaay better deals than I was able to snag: This is my meager haul: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4632565546_8ed195d630_b.jpg

Here are some other reports: http://cyclingwmd.blogspot.com/2010/05/brookyln-bike-jumble-30.html And here: http://prollyisnotprobably.com/2010/05/cute_girl_at_bike_jumble.php and here: http://prollyisnotprobably.com/2010/05/a_day_in_10_photos_05162010.php

It goes on and on.

Can't wait for Cirque!
