Nah, its gotta be the special Modolo wrench that driving up the price! Mine came with one of those, an allen wrench (used for centering) and a "Texted Modolo" decal for the downtube. I didn't pay anywhere near what these are going for back when I bought my Modolo Pros for my A-D Superleicht frame in 1983. Those Modolos are truly fine brakes though - they're still in use on my Ciocc.

Must be those drilled out clamp cable guides for the toptube. Seriously, I have no idea why the high bid, but just about anything NOS in box complete will garner attention. The only surprise for me is that the calipers are recessed with allen nuts yet cable guides are included. Nice gesture on Modolo's part, but by the time brakes took recessed brakes, most also had brazed-on cable guides. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL USA
