Listmembers; I was cleaning up some super sport rims and noticed they had bigger bearing cones in the rear. I believe they were early 70's taken off old fillet brazed frame. Puzzling part was they were Japan hubs with an atom freewheel I believe. Also the quick release axels in both the front and rear seamed to be of higher quality. I expect these wheels will set up well today. Was this common and are the early hubs of better quality?? I think I will take inventory of the box of high flange of hubs in the corner!
