I sent Sean's post to a friend and here is his instant reply. Hans worked in my shop a couple summers and has been in Sweden for a number of years now.

Rumor has it that Gamla Stans Cykel is pretty nice in a rooks-and-Bromptons sort of way: http://www.gamlastanscykel.se/index.php?p=13 I've never visited it myself, but the location is right in the midst f where you'll probably find yourself in Stockholm anyway. If you're ore a Cervelo-and-Super Record sort of guy, Cykel City on ödermannagatan is probably more your taste. Truly, the best shop in Sweden is here in Göteborg, Veloform: http://www.veloform.se/Veloform/Startsida/Startsida.html Open just Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturday. There aren't any real ommercial framebuilders in Sweden, but if your curious and in öteborg I could hook you up with a couple of very talented amateurs nd their respective shops. Hans - "On-topic" for us Classic Rendezvous guys means vintage or classic bike oriented. Any ideas for Sean?

I did visit a shop in Amsterdam that was interesting, but a few years ago. It was called Presto. They used to make their own frames. I think any more they just have them made somewhere or maybe not even. Got a nice jersey there for $35. The other shops I saw in Amsterdam only sold the typical dutch throwaway bikes. Here is their web site. http://www.presto.nl/index.htm In the old part of Amsterdam, which is pretty interesting if you can ignore the pot bars and hookers. Take a gondola ride if you have the time.

Heading out for vacation in the next couple days. After a quick stopover to visit some friends in Amsterdam, we are going to Stockholm. Having never been there, any recommendations regarding on topic shops and such would be much appreciated.

Thanks all.
