AND!

If you got out into the real world a bit instead of rabbitworld where everyone is perfect and is a whiz at using search engines you just might realize that there are some places that don't have much in the way of an LBS to go to. Maybe there's only one or two and they're both snobby or don't do much with road bikes.

Or that just maybe someone would prefer to spend their money with a shop that's "in the family"

Believe it or not, some of us don't have hours to look over hundreds of listings given by a search engine, most of which are for only whole bikes, or for places that list every rim known and don't stock any, or even links that don't include the search sting anywhere on the page. (Am I the only one that gets those? Usually at least one on the first page)

I really think you have something to contribute, the posts you make that actually have content are usually pretty good. But the snotty attitude isn't helping. Especially when it's pointed at someone who might be new. it drives people away more than any uninformed question or off topic post. It also turns people off to your better posts, and that's a shame.

Those people are also potential customers, and potential fellow hobbiests who also might have something to contribute. driving them away either from the hobby or from a potential purchase isn't good.

If you had used the search engines as I do....

...and observed that pretty much the listing for Weinmann CR19 is dominated by on-bike listings - not as a single part listing - with Raleigh being very prominent it might have occured to you as it did to me that maybe the best thing to do is visit an LBS that sells Raleigh and ask, "Is it possible that you folks can acquire from Raleigh or part for me a pair of Weinmann CR19?"

Quite a few LBSes will part out, especially the non-chain guys, as I see it alot for Weinmann DP18s for the single speedy crowd.

Plus, LBS are always happy to have a potential new customer.

I can call a local LBS if you'd like that I distribute wheels through - they're

a Raleigh dealer.
