(1) Wayne or MJ mentioned that the 2011 edition of the Cirque would be one week later in June, so the second weekend in June rather than the first.
(2) I got to the Cirque using public transportation plus bicycle. There are various options:
- Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) runs a bus from downtown DC through the Virginia suburbs to Dulles Airport. From there, it is about a 10-mile bike (or taxi) ride to Leesburg. The bike ride is mostly on the W&OD trail and, except for one block, all on bicycle-suitable roads. Bicycles ride on a rack in front of the bus and are very secure.
- Loudoun County runs a commuter bus from various points in downtown Washington DC that stops at the Leesburg Park and Ride. The Leesburg Park and Ride is about 2 miles up Plaza Street from Business Rt 7 and the hotel. Loudoun County requires you to get a bicycle permit to take a bicycle on the bus, but I applied the day before and had no trouble getting on. Bicycles ride in the bay of the bus, and need to be loaded/unloaded with the help of the driver.

Not that I'm really expecting this to happen, but how about holding it somewhere easy to get to by mass transit?
Seems ironic that a bike show is held somewhere that can only be gotten to by burning lots of fossil fuel. The selfish reason: I don't have a car or a license!
