While reading my CR emails, the TV was on Science Channel when lo and behold...Brooks saddles were featured on the How Its Made program! Main points of interest were after leather (direct from tanners) is die-cut, it is soaked up to an hour in warm water to soften. Then a 2 ton press is used to impart shape followed by logo stamping, badge attachment and finally riveting to frame.
There was an oven-drying process but I now forget...I think it was after pressing and before riveting...but I could be wrong. Maybe it can be found on YouTube...I'm going to bed...bike swap tomorrow.
