Keith's frames were very popular particularly with the time-trialling bretheran in the 1980s.
He lived, cycled and raced in the Liverpool area..possibly associated with the Southport Cycling Club just further down the coast. He was a 'local' builder in that his frames were bought by local riders..I don't think he made any attempt to market them to a wider clientele.
Although I live not all that far from Southport and my time-trial frames would be raced against Keith's I don't remember seeing too many..and those that I did see were always large ones. I recall seeing a large COPPELL low-profile frame with a 24 inch front wheel - it looked ghastly and made me decide never to build a lo-pro larger than a 22 inch with a 24 inch front wheel.
Keith was highly respected in TT circles.
