Patrick,

There is such a thing...the "other" De Rosa. See: http://italiancyclingjournal.blogspot.com/2009/11/other-de-rosa.html

I recently acquired this '72 or so Masi GC. It was complete and original with the exception of the wheels, saddle and possibly bar tape. It looks to have been hardly ridden, but because it was dirty and many of the chrome surfaces were lightly corroded, I stripped and carefully cleaned the frame and components. So, in addition to my original investment (which was no minor thing in regard to my modest bike fund), I have about 20 hours invested in careful cleaning. Some may bemoan the fact I cut the cables and toe straps, but it's done.

52.5 cm ctc seat tube, 54 cm ctc top tube.

I am entertaining trade offers for the following:

- Off topic classic hardtail mountain bike with front suspension bike in size Large or ~19". Looking for something quality, but also something to ride, so it doesn't have to be perfect. - Pre-70's Italian bike with character, ~58-60cm seat tube, ~57cm top tube. Patina preferred. - Southern Italian built bike, on topic, preferably from a Naples builder (is there such a thing?) in frame size above.

I know the Masi is a project, but I'm not looking for a project in return. I'm looking for something complete and rideable, though it doesn't necessarily have to be perfectly period correct.

Local offers always strongly encouraged!

Thanks,
