Subject: [CR] Mid/Low End Mercier Frame

Dear All, Just posted some photos of the mid/low end Mercier frame that I purchased a week ago on French Ebay. I intend to fit some mid-range French components to it. Here's the link: http://petersclassicwheels.blogspot.com

I do not know the model or year of the frame, but I guess that it was made around 1975.

As previously mentioned, it has Vitus 172 tubes and it looks like stamped front fork ends and forged rear drop-outs. Other than that, I think that it is a typical French mid/low-range frame from the mid-70s.

The lugs seem to have been used a lot of low-end Mercier frames. Out of interest, does anyone know what make they are?

If anyone has a Mercier brochure that shows the original build, I would be very interested to see it.

I'll post more pics when I have it built-up.

Meanwhile the 1968/69 PX10 re-build is going well. Should be on the road next week.

All the best,

Peter Rogers
