Subject: [CR] Jack Taylor question

I just acquired a Jack Taylor on ebay and would like to know more about it. I assume it's nothing terribly special since it was comparatively inexpensive, but if anyone has any information to share (tubing? aspects of frames made that year? restoration suggestions?) I'd appreciate it. I will have to drop by Elliott Bay Bicycles and pester Bob with questions. The link to the ebay auction and the description is below.

Thanks a lot!

You are looking at a rare classic Jack Taylor handmade road bike serial
#3242. The seat tube and top tube both measure 56cm. Only 154 were made in 1958 and although it has some wear, not too many are in as good shape as this one is. It has Campagnolo hubs, headset, front derailleur, seatpost, shift levers, brakes and brake levers. The rear derailleur and pedals are Suntour Superbee and the saddle is a well broken in Brooks. It has obviously been ridden and then stored for several years now but the bearings are still smooth and tight and the wheels are still true. With new tires, tubes, cables and housings, this bike would be ready to start its next 50 years. And for those looking to
build an awesome fixie, this would be a sweet frameset and the parts that come off would fetch enough to make it worth while. Happy bidding!
