Kenneth, I'm not talking about a cutout in the main shell of a BB, I'm talking about the lug, specifically the downtube to BB lug. All of the bottom brackets on all of the Peugeot PX-10s I've seen did not have cutout windows in any of the lugs, including the BB. There are a good many PX-10's I've not seen, but then there are a few I have seen too.

The context of the question is a frame I bought from Freek Faro who presented a very light French threaded frame with Nervex lugs, Simplex dropouts, and chrome in all the right places decaled as a Gazelle Champion Mondial. Many of the usual CR posters rapidly declared Freek's mystery frame as a PX-10 and I tend to agree, but the window in the BB bothers me. The frame seems to me that it may have quite a story to tell, if only it could talk.

It was worth $10 to me to find out for certain.

No takers?

What exactly do you mean by "cutout lug window in the bottom bracket", since the bottom bracket, by virtue of it's design, is a combination of shell, axel,, bearings and cups? Do you mean a cutout design in the BB shell? If so, there are plenty.

Brian, If spades are natural - I guess you could say so are hearts and diamonds! I'm sure you will have plenty of examples on the other side of DeRosa and Pogliaghi.

I have a $10 (via paypal) reward for the first photo of a known PX-10 with a cutout lug window in the bottom bracket.
