I'm surprised to hear any mid-70's Masi's came with the red cap Clement tires. I always thought of those as over-the-top lightweight racing tires (beyond original equipment status).
It's been my observation & memory that the original equipment tire for a mid-70's Masi Gran Criteruim (Calif. version, at least) were Clement Campionato Del Mondos.
