Barrie- I wish I had 7 more of the bike. Then you would have had a guaranteed chance to buy it/one. As it was you were responder #9 (and BTW the last to do so). The first person took his day to consider and passed on it so I went on to responder #2. He bought it. I would have gone on to each potential buyer, giving each their day, in the time stamped order of their contacting me until it sold. That only took two people.

I do admit that after getting 7 offers I stopped replying to each before it sold. Sorry for not contacting you at once. The fact of location would not have been an issue, that's what money is for. Yes, shipping would have been more involved but it would have been your dime.

I didn't know there was any rules in this forum as to how to sell, or how long to offer an item or what format would be used to allow each person their fair chance. So I made my own rules. I think my approach was fair. First reply got first chance and on done the list of replies. Perhaps I should have been more descriptive in this aspect in my original post, I didn't think it would be a problem and that people would understand my method if they asked.

I, too, have lost out on items offered through this and other lists. But I don't take my disappointment public. If you had sent me this message privately I would have replied the same. Again sorry to ruffled your feathers, Andy.

I seem to think, as my emails show, I said I would buy your Legnano 3 days ago and you took 2 days another Email to answer. Maybe it was because I live in the UK, but, certainly, it was 3 days ago that I affirmed I would buy it, so I suggest you check your emails more regularly. I know there is a 10 hour plus or minus between us, but that should be allowed for in an international forum, so your day to commit doesnt wash. Sorry. Barrie Carter Roundham UK
