It has been polished up to look magnificent.  And I imagine the chainring fasteners have been replated or are new - and this leads to my question.

I have just acquired a Stronglight 57 crankset but the chainring fasteners are totally wrong for some reason - slotted round head screws and regular nuts; looks awful.

Does anybody know of any similar fasteners available anywhere or used anywhere else - on a relatively cheap crankset for example?

Dale might want to capture these photos for the CR website.  This auction in Yahoo japan is for a Stronglight 57 crankset, and the current price is $1000.
