Thanks to everyone for the discussion of Braxton frames and of the man himself. He was a very impressive character. I met Sam and Shirley while passing through on Bikecentennial, and wrote a first order with them then. They were customers from then on. I so loved that part of the country! I've cycled all over the US, but that area is the best. Even had a fantasy of buying the Antlers Cafe in Wisdom Montana -- likely not a good idea for a city boy from a place where it never snows.

BTW, my Braxton was a conventional looking frame with the shifters on the headtube. It had 700c wheels by request. I don't recall the head angle or other geometry, though I'm sure I have Sam's design sheet somewhere. Maybe it will surface someday. Kevin Montgomery San Diego California
