Alright, a thread I know something about!

A 1987 Specialized Stumpjumper for daily urban commuting. I probably don't actually get in that many miles, but they're "quality miles" over cobblestone, gravel, cratered pavement, etc. A 1992 Trek 520 is my back-up. Both are also good for gravel road excursions and loaded touring.

The vintage road bikes are for excursions out of town, I do 1 or 2 rides a week. My regular this past year has been a 1967 Atala Record w/Campy NR and sew-ups. I just finished restoring my 1975 Motobecane Grand Jubile, so I'll be riding that more. It's got fenders, so it will be a good rainy season bike.

I visit my folks in northern Minnesota every summer, and that's a great excuse for another bike or two. I'm not there that long but I get in nice rides almost every day. Early 1980's Olmo racer for fast rides, and I just got a mid-1980's Davidson Discovery for "sport touring".

I've set a limit of 10 bikes for myself, I figure I can ride that many with enough regularity to justify them. Or maybe I should amend that to 10 vintage road bikes, and allow for some spares for guests, etc. Remember, the more bikes you have, the less wear and tear you're putting on each one, which helps ensure better preservation.
