Re: What do you ride?

Hello, my name is Peter and I am a Columbus Max-aholic.

The most used bike in my fleet is my daily bike commuter (including today) .... a lugged steel Grandis Max (Columbus Max tubing), set up with 25 gear inch low, for riding on steep hills in La Jolla area, particularly its 800 foot Mount Soledad, with grades of 15% or more. I ride home from work on a longer route to get in some hill climbing on Mount Soledad to relax after the workday. The hill climbs on Mount Soledad are complemented by fast downhills, with a few that reach 40+ mph by coasting. The oversize shaped Columbus Max tubing climbs well and rides well for my weight of 200 lbs, particularly on steep bumpy downhills with curves, where this Columbus Max tubed bike just feels more solid and controlled at taking bumps than other bikes of mine with Columbus SP/SL or Aelle or Reynolds 531 tubing. Here is my Grandis Max: http://www.peterbrueggeman.com/cr/grandismax.htm
