Subject: [CR] Campagnolo Tipo Hubs Q/R

Sorting through all the bits I have accumulated over many years, I was surprised at the number of Campagnolo Tipo hubs with Q/R levers and locknuts that I always associated with Record hubs.

I thought that all Tipo quick release levers were retained in their housing by a circlip rather than the domed nut of Record and that the adjusting nut was a conical shape with a raised knurled ring about half way along, whereas Record has a cone with a swiveling D-shaped wire thingy that holds pressure pads against the skewer thread.

I have so many of the Tipo hubs with Record-like Q/Rs that I am thinking it unlikely, although possible, that they have all had new Q/Rs fitted.  So was there a variant that used the "better" Q/Rs?
