Superb = Sue - purb
The added 'e' makes it a French word = Soo pairb
But that would only be after it had crossed the English Channel John Purser phonetically inspired in Sudbury, England

Not to hijack this thread, but how should one pronounce "Superbe"? I have a couple of Raleigh Superbes and some of the SunTour components, but am uncertain whether to say "Superb" or "Super Bee". Anyone know?
