All email programs I've used over the years have the capability of filtering incoming mail into folders and sorting by subject and thread; therefore it's easy to skip or delete whole blocks of irrelevant messages. You could even delete all mail from a member you might find irritating. If you don't do this, your in-box will always be a big mess. While some members prefer the digest format, that doesn't reduce the volume, just the number of emails and then you have to browse through the digest emails to find what interests you. If neither of these options appeal, you can always just browse the archives and email your questions or replies. (However, it seems to me that presently the "Unsubscribe or edit options" button does not work.)
