Hey all,

The chance to buy a used and incredibly well-equipped Burley at an astounding price has led to a depleted tax return and the selling off of some of the stable. I'm selling the old BSA track frame I traded my boss for a few years ago. Very clean, only minor surface rust inside, and of course with the notorious internal headset.

There doesn't appear to be a serial number of any consequence anywhere on the bike, but that may be the result of the heavy-handed silver respray it received before entering my stewardship. To the left of the "BSA" letters there is a stamped "A" and to the right, a stamped "72." If that means anything to anyone, I would love to know. "Made in England" is stamped beneath.

The frame measures 52cm from center of BB to center of top tube, and 57cm from center of seat tube to center of head tube. Fork axle-to-crown is approximately 33.5cm with 13.4cm of steerer tube. Head tube measures 11.2cm.

Some heretic has drilled both the brake bridge and fork crown, but if nothing else that just means you don't have to feel guilty about building it up as your coffee shop ride. I know very little about these things, so if any of you has any information I'd love to know a bit more. Asking $500 shipped anywhere in the US, but willing to negotiate if I find out I'm way to high (and of course, willing to ask more if I find that I'm lowballing myself! lol.) Could be a very nice and potentially profitable restoration project for those with time on their hands and a headset at their disposal.

Here is a link to some pictures of the frameset. First seven pics:
