I need to sell my 82 Merckx (58cm)to finance another Merckx for my addiction.
I purchased this in mid 1983 for my son. He raced it in USCF for a year and then quit riding.... some kids....!. I rode it from the office as my noontime ride for 3-4 years in the late 80's -early 90's and then it has been in the basement for the majority of the time. I put new Campy gum rubber hoods and new brake pads on it around 2000 and didn't ride it much.
Full Campagnolo Super Record Components. Brakes, Derailleurs, shift levers,
seatpost, cranks (175cm ) Hubs, Cinelli Stem and Bars. custom cable
ferrules on all cables Vittoria tires. Mavic Reflex rims, light gold
anodized ( new in 1995 from another Merckx that I sold, kept the best set
for this bike.) Concour saddle
all components are like new except the Saddle.....from the bike I sold.
