I have a set of superleggera-type pedals from robbie fellowes. Today I painted them with black fingernail polish, to cover up the wear on the quill tips and from the cleat tops.
1. Is this going to last for any length of time? It certainly was cost effective, at only $2.99 for low-end fingernail polish.
2. Is there a better way, short of having these pedals areanodized? I tried the magic marker thing and it disappears very quickly.
3. If I have a really trashed set of SL type pedals, is it possible to turn them into silver pedals by stripping off ALL of the anodizing using oven cleaner ?? Are the results satisfactory, or is it impossible to get e.g. "black circles" out from around the riveted areas?
