New spokes work wonders. If you want to avoid this then use motorcycle cleaner S100 (Your local Honda dealer sell a Honda version). Then use a SOS pad to clean each spoke. But new spokes make the job a lot easier

S100 works for the whole bike. It does not harm any finish and really cleans fast.
