The "GF" on a George Fisher shell is NOT stamped where the "GP" is stamped on the ebay bike, it is stamped " +GF+ " beside the "M" cutout on my '72 Masi GC and also in exactly the same place on my early 60's Cinelli SC. And it also reads upside down in relation to the # stamped on the downtube nozzle.
If the Noel Smith frame is the same one that is being offered on ebay now then it would appear that the " G P " that has been stamped (when??) on the BB shell is meant to imply that the bike did belong to Gosta Pettersson.
Is this bike a fake?
