kevin,
Just have one 151 crank myself. No pip, or pin on this one. On a circa 63 Frejus. I too thought that was a much later development.

\r?\n> Seems everyone is absorbed in the
\r?\n> topic of 'spokes with a S on the head' to respond to my
\r?\n> quirey regarding chain catchers on Campag outer
\r?\n> chainwheels!.........or maybe I've got everybody stumped?
\r?\n>
\r?\n> I know several of you have the older 151 bcd Campag
\r?\n> chainsets..... looking resplendant on Bianchi's, Cinelli's
\r?\n> and the like.........if you could just check your chainset
\r?\n> to see if your's has the chain catching pip on the inside of
\r?\n> the outer chainwheel........or have I got something unusual
\r?\n> [there is always the possibility that someone went to the
\r?\n> trouble of drilling, tapping and fitting such a pip.....but
\r?\n> I think not]
\r?\n> My other 151 bcd outer chainwheel on my Bianchi does not
\r?\n> have the pip..........

\r?\n> a 151 bcd 53 tooth chainwheel in good usable condition, but
\r?\n> what is noticible is the little screw in pip [or whatever
\r?\n> it's called] to prevent the chain falling down the inside of
\r?\n> the crank!

\r?\n> feature on the 151 bcd chainset....only to drop it when they

\r?\n> [ or some of them] had alloy pad holders, and alloy
