You could say I'm a bit obsessed with Hetchins, but as opposed to collecting later more ornate Hetchins, my family of cycles is getting to the elder period. I've 6 Pre-War Hetchns not including the Brilliant including H297 the oldest surviving.
Pre-war are: 35 H297, Frameset only, restored about 1940 with very rare decals. May be the oldest. 38 Anglo-Continental, 2nd oldest surviving Anglo. 38 or 39 Anglo Continental Special, Full chrome unrestored. One of only two known. 38 Tour de France at Argos for refinishing. The only Tour de France to survive. 38 Competition, one of only three surviving with cut outs in the lugs. 39 Trio, fully unrestored and original. Up until last year the only Trio known. Since then two framesets have surfaced.

I think this is very cool that Peter has cornered the market on these very early Hetchins. Just a couple of years ago, he posted the below post, where he had the 5th oldest and 7th oldest. Now he comes along with the 6th oldest. I can understand why you have specialized in one make Peter. It must take quite a bit of research to stay on top of this. For sale: A 1936 Hetchins Brilliant frame and fork. Frame serial # 63205. I purchased it years ago with restoration in mind, but in turn sold it to a friend who started restoration but ill health stopped the progress. Now I've the frame back but a few other cycles in Britain have come my way so I'm putting the Hetchins up for sale. The frame is in primer and ready to paint, with a full chrome fork that will need refinishing. Sorry not a double plate fork crown but a typical fork crown of Hetcins in the mid-30s. When I purchased the frame about 7-8 years ago it was the 6th oldest surviving Hetchins.I will call Len Ingram to get it's current status tomorrow.
As of a few weeks ago a totally destroyed rust bucket Brillisnt sold for $536.

Based on the price for the totally destroyed rust bucket on eBay I'm pricing this rare Brilliant at $1200 or B/O. If you think my price is high I'm open to offers.
There are 1930s parts to go with it if wanted that I've collected, and will photo to sell aspart of a package or separately.
