At least these riders have a little bit of "personal" space. If you think that's a problem, check out this bike where "togetherness" takes on a more intimate meaning:

Spotted in a Rotterdam shop in May of last year... not a bike shop. It was closed and I didn't have time to go back and take a proper picture. By the way, check out the range of hand positions available on the handlebars in the bike just behind the family bike :)
Rotterdam was a day-trip this time around. Most of my time was spent in Delft with friends and family. One thing I noticed in Delft and in most other cities around this part of the world is that the train stations are chock-full of all kinds of abandoned bicycles, a few of them on-topic, with bent wheels, bent frames, many of them rust buckets. However, some were treasures waiting to be found. I saw a couple with Simplex Juy TDF 4-speed rear derailleurs in very good condition, like the one I need to replace a bent one on a bike purchased from a list member a while ago.
1. What happens to these old bikes? Are they periodically cleaned out? 2. WTB: The rear derailleur mentioned above.
