Thanks Don: That is an idea that I considered for sure except I am lacking the tap to trace the threads and even if I was to take Billy Ketchum up on his kind gesture for me to borrow his I would still land up with a problem of not having enough threads on the adjustable cup to complete the task..the problem just keep getting me back to the spindle length.mainly the drive side. I may still give the dremel tool a try with a steady hand.or I may have to consult a machinist. I am starting my machine tech course in a week.maybe I can perform some government work as a newbie. I may be getting spindle help from Barbara at Resperages Velo.she is a very nice lady and her cause is a great one.
