Can we please NOT all chime in now with our "helmet saved my life" stories, or arguments that a cap is all you need to look classic, or news that someone famous crashed and hurt his head, or pretty much anything helmet-related? It's a divisive subject, and close to 100% off-topic here. Other forums exist for helmet wars; this is supposed to be a helmet-war-free zone.
