Dating a B.S.A.

Hello again one and all, A friend of mine has asked me to renovate her B.S.A in time for an English summer (fingers crossed!) The serial number is 7108 and is stamped on the non drive side rear drop out. A number 8 is stamped on the steerer tube and looks very similar to the B.S.A tube on my 1938 La Quelda but I can't find a stamp. The lugs are the fish tail type and the frame is built for 26" wheels. BSA bottom bracket, crankset, clip headset, hubs (rear flip/flop) and wingnuts! Now I've removed all the chromed steel and Resilion canti's the frame is reasonably light. Any ideas of tubing? As always, any help will be gratefully received... Yours in cycling, Kelvin Pawsey Folkestone. England.
