I'll second that !

I've jumped up on more than one occasion (off road, and on) , looked closely at the Giro... to see a big ol CRACK in the foam ! I know we all have our opinions about usin em or not... but ya can guess mine now !

Couple years ago on the Pasadena Ride, on my Motobecane Le Champion (i think), I was blabbing away to someone, and ended up on the asphalt in an intersection in Sierra Madre. Little blood, no damage to the steel, but there it was.... CRACKED helmet ! I had a minor headache at the Coffee Shop (Bean Town... great place, come join us some Sunday !).... but nothin worse !!!

Now one of my good buddies on the ride always refer's to that intersection lovingly as 'Pinders Gulch' - a western movie reference, no doubt, when the bicycle racers of old made it safely thru a narrow and dangerous roadway..... !!
