Dear John:
There is a home page for the CR Google Group, that will give you the option to log in with your email address. I think you need to create a special password for Google.
It looks like there are two options for your problem: unsubscribe your email using the email address at the bottom of the message, and then re subscribe from scratch at the CR Google page. When you sign up from scratch, you get to list the email address and create a password.
Other option is go to the CR Google page, start signing in with your email address and then say you've forgotten the password. I don't know what passwords Google assigned for the addresses automatically transfered into the list, but it probably wouldn't be the regular password associated with that email account, unless it was a google email. For example, I was getting list emails at an old MSN hotmail account, and the password for that account didn't get picked up by google. So I used the lost password procedures, created a new password and unsubscribed from the list, then resubscribed with my current Yahoo email address. Tedious, but it seems to have worked so far: new CR mails going to Yahoo and none (today) to the Hotmail account.

Once you reset thg password, you can edit your email and membership settings, over on the right hand side of the page.
Good luck!

I followed the instructions by clicking on the link in Dales’ invitation, and began receiving email right away. But am I a member of the group or not??? I want to change to digest mode, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. When I try to log in using my email address and password, it fails. Is it necessary to have a Google Account to make this work, or does Google just want me to think I need one? Why can’t I find an explanation anywhere for any of this??!
