I have a collection of bikes but the one that I road ride 70 to 100 miles per day is my Van Queirre (sp) Plum that I was able to obtain from Freek Faro on line. It is a beauty made with Champion 2 steel and has a sweet set of wheels with Campy high flange Nuovo Record hubs and a sweet Velocity Aerohead rims set that are red anodized to match the frame. Nuovo record drive train and shifter makes this bike ride like a dream. On one particular day this last season I had a guy half my age drafting off of me while we cruised at a 29 MPH average for a 15 mile stretch. It did not last much past that since it was 90 degrees and hot hot hot for these parts. I estimate the frame at around a 1983 vintage and will never say die.
I also ride an old Rockhopper with way too many moving parts during the winter when it is at least bearable and above 10 degrees although I have ridden as cold as 15 below zero and had a blast doing it. Winter still lasts too long. GO PACKERS!
