Hi group. I must confess I am strictly a recreational rider. Many of you sound like you are living the total bike lifestyle. My hat is off to all of you . My rider bikes are a 1970 or so Dawes that I have owned since about 1975, upgraded to mainly Campy in the late 70's. A 1980 or so Sekine, Shim. 600 Arabesque, partially upgraded to Dura-ace of the same era. A 1977 Raleigh Competition, built up from a frame set in the mid 1980's , mostly Campy. Finally the circa 1977 Kessels I built up last year, odds and ends for components / Shim. 600 drive train {from the index era but I use Campy. friction shifters}. Since I built up the Kessels I have rarely used any of the others. I really like the ride, and overall feeling of it. I also have a bunch of older bikes; mostly 1950's and 60's British , most of which are still at the project stage.
