All,

I've enjoyed this topic & thought I would also "introduce" myself. I have enjoyed lurking and occasionally piping up. I am an Canadian and ex-racer, living in the US, and wrote the Falcon page that the late Sheldon Brown so kindly offered to host. That page was a result of not being able to find any information for restoration when I looked. I hadn't found you lot yet & it will be better when it is re-written because of you. I think my first posting on this list was when I had to sell my Peter Mooney because we were in dire straits--so one day I will find its replacement.

Currently I'm riding a filet-brazed Simonetti that Mike Howard suggests was probably produced fairly late (90s?) with Tange tubing & modern gear--I'm not sure if the frame qualifies as KOF--but by geneology, I like to think it does.

My Falcon San Remo (all Campagnolo) from my racing days is trotted out occasionally for short jaunts--short, mainly because I can't afford to replace the sewups, should I have problems. (Sadly, my Frejus track bike was sold along the way...) One of these days, I will do a partial resto on the Falcon, but that too will have to wait for better times.

In a box, I have a lovely Mercian Audax (mid 80s--531c) that I plan to add S&S couplers to, once I can afford it & it will be my travel bike.

Th Mercian was the bike that brought me back to cycling--it rides suprisingly like the Falcon. I purchased it on UK eBay when we were living in London.

After the first ride, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I had ever stopped riding, and later, after riding in Europe with a group from Berkeley whose members included a couple of gals who had turned 80, I realised I have a lot of miles left in me.
