Hi Dale: This is an image of Laser #007 possibly one of the earliest intact prototypes of the strada version remaining. It has Modolo Kronos brakes (the rear brake is in a shroud in back of the BB, IMHO one of the bike's most interesting features), SRecord crankset, but Shimano FD and RD's, Roval wheels with Campy skewers. Most of the rest is Cinelli. The leather which looks like it's from some rare beast is really just calf stamped with this design. Of course the notorious "suicide" pedals are sported. Amusingly, when I brought the bike from Europe it was confiscated in customs since the shipper had marked it simply as "laser" and customs was very suspicious to determine it was no more than a bike. This took them three weeks. The current question among some collectors is what degree of involvement Cinelli himself had in the realization of this bike. Like so many things in bike collecting, this question is probably best left in the obscurity in which Cinelli desired.
